CONFERENCE
The AAVFD Conference is held annually. The conference gives fire departments throughout the state a chance
to participate in the fire fighter competitions, attend the banquet where awards are given out and to hear guest
speakers. Equipment vendors are also present at the conference promoting the new equipment available for fire departments.

2026 CONFERENCE COMPETITION
The events for this year we will be running are Air
Pack Relay, Obstacle Course and Water on the Roof.
There is a new twist this year, we are going to run a
Cadet Explorer competition as well. To run as an
Explorer, the Cadet program must be one of the two
the Fire College accepts. The Cadet must be be-
tween 14 - 18 years of age. The Cadet program must
be tied to a Membered Department of the AAVFD.
The Cadet will need to have written consent of par-
ent(s) to compete.
The rules for the events may be found on the AAVFD
website (www.aavfd.com), some things may be
modified on the events for the Cadets but will be
basically the same.
